WHAT IS POWDER PAINT? ADVANTAGES AND APPLICATIONS
* WHAT IS POWDER PAINT?

Powder coating, commonly known as TINH POWER for short, was introduced to Vietnam in the 90s.
- PRINCIPLE OF POWDER PAINT ( ELECTRICAL PAINT ) :
Paint materials in the form of Powder contained in the barrel will be pumped by compressed air and pushed onto the Paint Sprayer.
Paint spray gun with a special structure with a high-pressure unit in the gun body, which can bring voltage at the gun head up to 100Kv.
When the paint powder is pushed through the duct by compressed air through the body of the spray gun, it will be electrified by high voltage current and become a charge carrier with a mark.
The painted product (usually metal) is connected to the grounding system so there is no charge. Therefore, when the paint particles are sprayed out of the gun head, there is an electrostatic charge, so there is an electrostatic attraction that will easily adhere to the product to be painted.
The product after being sprayed covered with powder coating will be put into an oven and heated to a temperature of 180oC ~ 220oC. At high temperatures, the powder coating will melt and form a coating film on the surface of the product. After the process of melting the paint layer in the drying oven for about 10~15 minutes, the surface of the paint film will form and be stable.
* ADVANTAGES OF ELECTRICAL POWDER POWDER.

- Because the paint material is a dry powder, the painting process does not use solvents to mix the paint, so the electrostatic paint does not cause pollution to the surrounding environment by solvents.
- Powder coating only needs to be coated once, so it is more cost-effective than traditional water-based paint (solvent paint).
- The coating layer is formed after the process of baking paint at high temperature, so it has very high MECHANICAL quality on the surface of the coating layer.
- Because the paint technology uses electrostatic attraction to make the powder adhere to the surface of the product, the coating process does not require much experience of the sprayer and is easy for automatic spray application.

- APPLICATION FOR CIVIL PRODUCTS:
+ Powder coating is used to paint most civil products made of steel such as: Tables, Chairs, Beds, Cabinets, Shelves, Bicycles, Motorcycles, Lights...
+ Especially, powder coating is used to protect outdoor products such as gates, doors, fences, railings, stairs, aluminum frames, aluminum doors ....
- APPLICATION FOR INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS:
+ Powder coating is used a lot for the protective coating of machinery, industrial and Construction equipment such as: Scaffolding, steel structure frame, working platform, machine tools...
+ Especially, powder coating is also applied to machinery in environments with corrosive chemical vapors.
